Mary L’Hommedieu

Mary is an accomplished legal professional. She understands that the world is made up of people. Real people with real ambitions, real dreams and real challenges. She is pleasant, precise and proficient. She strives to be as down to earth and as non-lawyerly as possible. Her specific talent is in the understanding and intricate workings of complex transactions. Although her passion is healthcare and HUD financing, she is no stranger to the worlds of business, finance and employment law. She brings all her personality and skill to the representation of her clients. In her career, she has litigated numerous commercial, employment and healthcare cases in a variety of State and Federal courts, as well as before a host of administrative agencies.

Her legal experience includes being a staff attorney to the Honorable William B. Hoffman of the Fifth District Court of Appeals and to the Honorable Patricia A. Cosgrove of the Summit County Court of Common Pleas. She is also a recognized arbitrator in business disputes arising in Summit County and beyond.

Mary has served on the Executive Board of the Youngstown Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, and the Board of Directors for the Hudson Chamber of Commerce. Mary serves on the Ethics Committee of a Cleveland area hospice company and she serves on the Board of Directors of the Hudson Community Foundation.

Mary has made numerous presentations and authored articles for various groups, including the AHLA, AOPHA and the Ohio Women’s Bar Association.

She is a proud graduate of Saint Mary’s College at Notre Dame, B.A., 1989 and the University of Akron, School of Law, J.D., cum laude, 1996.
